Junior Research Groups
The junior research group EACH applies econometric techniques to the study of competition in health care. A main focus is on studying regional competition among providers and competition among payers in the German health care system.
The junior research group HCM applies the experimental economic method to health economics issues. Laboratory experiments are used to gain an understanding of the preferences and behavior of various actors in the health care system. The influence of risk preferences on the demand for and supply of goods and services in health care are of particular interest.
