Bio:

Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Jürgen Wasem, Dipl.-Volkswirt, is Professor at the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen and Halbach trust Chair of Medicine Management since 2003. His earlier stations include the Universität Greifswald (1999-2003), the Universität München (1997-1999), the Fachhochschule Köln (1989-91 and 94-97), the Max-Planck-Institut für Gesellschaftsforschung (1991-94) and a position as abstractor at the Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Sozialordnung (1985-89). Prof. Wasem is, among others, board member of the German Health Economics Society and chairman of the scientific advisory board for advancement of risk structure balance at the federal social insurance authority.
