Bio:

Nils Gutacker is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics, University of York. His research focuses on the optimal organisation of healthcare markets, the cost-effectiveness of performance-based provider reimbursement schemes (e.g. hospital pay-for-performance) and the economics of medical practice variation. He is especially interested in the increasing use of patient-reported outcome measures to measure and incentivise the behaviour of healthcare providers in the English NHS and internationally. His work has been published in leading field journals in health economics and health services research.
