Zur Person:

Prof. Dr. Kristina Strohmaier ist Professorin für Volkswirtschaftslehre und seit April 2022 an der Universität Duisburg-Essen. Sie promovierte 2017 bei Prof. Nadine Riedel an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Von 2017 bis 2022 war sie Juniorprofessorin für Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Tübingen. Während dieser Zeit war sie Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Columbia University in New York und am Europäischen Hochschulinstitut in Florenz. Darüber hinaus ist sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am ZEW und dem Research School of International Taxation (RSIT).

Kristina Strohmaier ist eine angewandte Mikroökonomin mit einem starken Fokus auf Fragen der Finanzwissenschaft, insbesondere in den Bereichen (internationale) Besteuerung, Gesundheit und Bildung. Ihre Arbeiten wurden in verschiedenen internationalen Fachzeitschriften wie Journal of Human Resources, International Tax and Public Finance, Economics Letter und British Journal of Industrial Relations veröffentlicht.
