Richard G. Frank, PhD, is the Margaret T. Morris Professor of Health Economics in the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School. His research is focused on the economics of mental health and substance abuse care, long term care financing policy, health care competition, implementation of health reform and disability policy. He has won several awards in economics, public health and psychiatry and has held numerous roles within the Department of Health and Human Services from 2009-11, 2013-14 and 2014-2016.

Rowena Jacobs is Professor of Health Economics in the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York. Rowena’s research interests include health policy reforms, incentives and performance measurement of mental health services. She leads research examining the relationship between primary care quality and outcomes for people with serious mental illness. She also leads a research programme on contracting and payment for mental health services. Other projects which she leads look at the efficiency, cost and quality of mental healthcare provision, and the mental healthcare workforce. She has acted as an adviser to various UK government and other agencies, as well as the World Bank, WHO and OECD on health policy and performance measurement in mental health services.

Jan Böhnke is a Senior Research Fellow in Evaluation Design and Research Methods at the Dundee Centre for Health and Related Research, School of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Dundee. Jan's work focuses on the statistical modelling of mental health and physical comorbidities. Current projects deal with common mental disorders in psychological therapies, diabetes, and the structure of severe mental illness.
